WHAT I WORE: EXPLORING EAST VILLAGE

Oh darling East Village, how your quiet vibes and loud-speaking graffiti have wooed me...

In case you can't already tell, I seem to have suddenly fallen deeply in love with a neighbourhood in Manhattan. It took only a single leisurely Saturday afternoon for me to fall head over heels.

Now you may be asking, why do I love East Village so much? My answer can be summed up with four dainty bullet points:
  • the quiet, relaxed vibe
  • dozens of community gardens
  • graffiti galore
  • foodie heaven (wink wink, Big Gay Ice Cream)

Anyway, I'll hush my gushing for now and get back to the point of this post: what I wore.

I've recently been gravitating toward black and white stripes on everything - shirts, dresses, you name it (I even bought a black & white striped shower curtain the other day!). I love the ease of black and white stripes - they seem to pair well with anything and are a definite fashion classic.

A tip for fellow lazy-girl fashionistas: having a dress in a classic print such as black and white stripes makes dressing in a rush so much easier. All you have to do is throw it on and voilà --you can pair it with pretty much anything and chances are, it'll look fab.
